Bad whiplash, doctor won't give treatment. Help?
I was in a bad car accident a week ago. Was going 70 mph on the freeway, hit the guardrail, passed out for a few seconds. I went to a clinic the next day, where the doctor told me there was only muscular damage and sent me home with some NSAIDs. My mom told me not to take them, and send me to a chiropractor who adjusted the first two vertebrae in my neck since they were pretty messed up. Both doctors told me my muscles were partially torn, though neither did anything.
It's been a week since the accident, and I have soreness & stiffness in my neck and various parts of my back that's only gotten worse. I'm not on any medications, I never got a cervical collar, etc.
Should I just wait it out (aka is this normal) or should I demand some sort of treatment/therapy from another doctor?
Go to another doctor and have them send you to Physical therapy.
