Maternity pads and disposable pants or incontinence pants? I am wondering if all round it might be better?
and cheaper to buy incontinence pants (like the tena lady things) rather than the disposable pants and separate maternity pads for while I am in hospital. Previous experience tells me to expect to bleed a fair bit and with the maternity pads I leaked out the sides, ruined my normal underwear and the pj’s I was wearing too. It’s £7.99 for 12 of the tena lady pants, £4 for 10 pairs of disposable pants plus maybe £2 for maternity pads so it does work out cheaper if you don’t include the washing/ruined pj’s.
I will be having a c-section again so I thought the tena pants might be useful for keeping the wound covered too (and kinda holding me together lol).
So what did you use after the birth and what did you find the best??
I am taking my own pads with me. Those maternity pads are useless. If your having a csection, the full brief might be helpful. Ask you doctor or midwife. But it would catch any leakage from your csection also. Good luck!
