My 93 Olds Regency 88 won’t start?
I just bought a 1993 Oldsmobile Regency 88 with the 3.8L. Started right up and test drove just fine. After returning with the money and signing the title and receipt I tried starting it and it fired up and died 10 seconds later, tried again fired up for 3 seconds and died and now it will not start. Cranks over and tries to start but will not. I have replaced the spark plugs (fouled out) and fuel filter, seems to have decent pressure now. I ran the codes and got 18 CAM signal error and 42 Electronic Spark Timing Monitor Error. Not sure which way to run with this now…. The car is fully loaded and in decent shape so I’m not afraid to put a little more money into it just don’t want to get outrageous… Thanks in Advance, Josh
you might go ahead and put a new EST sensor on it see if that at least stops the code from getting set
