house arrest wrist monitor?
how do they work? My neighbor is on HA and he claims he can go to the bar, and slip it off. Do they know if you do that?
I need some info on this.
Your friend is kidding you and himself, electronic bracelets (wrist, ankle, etc) cannot be removed without it being detected by the monitor. Sometimes the authorities will not notice it for a while, but many people who thought that they were outsmarting the system eventually wound up behind bars. There are several types of systems, with some able to track and pinpoint (GPS) within inches everywhere you have been. Your friend should reconsider what he is planning to do and comply with the rules of his house arrest. He is on house arrest because he got a break and was not sent to jail. A drink at the bar is not going to sound important when he gets busted - and he will get caught. Good luck.
